What is Hakata-ori?

Many of you may be wondering, "What is this "Hakata-ori" that you often see on this website?"

Hakata-ori is a traditional craft that originated in Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, and has been around since the Kamakura period.

The most representative pattern is called "Kenjo-gara" and has long been used on kimono obi belts and other items.

We have incorporated some of the Hakata-ori patterns into modern items and released them as a new brand.

These products are sure to satisfy even those who have few opportunities to come into contact with traditional crafts.

Just a little bit of the real thing for you.....

The slightly understated Hakata-ori Kenjo pattern will always be with you. ORISM products that evoke the good old days are sure to have something that touches your heart.
